I am so looking forward to this year's annual Gamesfest 4 . A lively and well attended extravaganza of RPG and other Gamer delights. It also has a wonderful collection of guest authors of fantasy, sci Fi and horror ( including me !) and top graphic comic artists and writers to meet and greet. I will be with Derek Gunn , Steve Dean , Peter Mark May , Gary Charles on the Horror / Dark Fantasy panel. That should be lively and great fun. Sickly and cloying, the stench of putrefaction rose from the Forest of Thorns poisoning the air above in a fetid miasma. Gobbets of flesh impaled on cruel, venomous barbs attracted black clouds of flies and the strong teeth of voracious flying carrion eaters. Many body parts were still recognisable, skulls frozen in a last agonised scream, severed limbs, torsos stripped of all flesh leaving the stark white of broken and gnawed ribcages. Elf Fantasy Fair 2009
In a sun dappled leafy glade, six fairies sit , their garb floaty gossamer in sparkly rainbow colours. They are joined by a zombie roman soldier, a be-horned red demon warrior and a green faced troll. One of the fairies answers a mobile phone and another passes around cigarettes.
