HBO are no strangers to graphic sex. The scenes in the first episode of 'Rome' nearly put me off for life. But yes, I think it's uncalled for at least 99.99% of the time. There may be the odd exception, but normally it adds nothing to the plot, and…

I'm never sure of the necessity of graphic sex either and, like you, I tend to skim ahead to the next part. I'm happy with the softer style -- Judith Tarr's sex scenes, for instance, which focus on how it effects the characters' relationship rather…

I think a large part of creative writing is natural talent or ability, but I also think creative writing courses are useful in providing tools to evaluate your writing and to find answers to issues that may be hampering your development. I don't the…

I don't spend much time comparing different genres of fiction to each other. Most of these titles were created to make marketing books easier. Whether or not a book is considered literary or genre changes with time and perspective. I'm sure Shakespe…

Can't do it this year. I'm still working on the story I began on NaNoWriMo last year! :-(

The Sivad Chronicles: Book One - The Possession

I'm working on a fantasy/steampunk series based on an alternate reality America. I'm posting the story on my site then gathering the chapters to produce a paperback and ebook. There will be four books in the series; if sales go well I plan on a graphic novel/manga. Stop by, read… Continue

Hi Milton! You should work on getting Meji in an e-format! I'm highly interested in reading it, espcially since I desire to write fantasy as well! I already have a story planned out, but I'm working on brushing up on my skills- right now, my writing is too formal.xD
I know this may sound corny, but it really does feel good to have another Black fantasy writer out there. It really is a true inspiration.:) Do you do your own illustrations?

Thanks Milton! I haven't - to be honest I haven't really made that much effort to put myself "out there" as far as publishers/agents go. I'm not ready yet - getting there though. I'm currently working on something that I'm hoping to submit once it's complete.

It has been a while since I dropped you a line, and hope that interest in your fiction is gaining momentum. Your writing is superb and I hope that it gets the recognition that it rightly deserves.
As for me, well... let's just say that I am having trouble putting hand to keyboard. I don't know if my lack of enthusiasm is due to missing NaNoWriMo again, or other factors. Time to do some self-examination, I think.

Cheers for the kind words Miles - the book isn't published in the states, but it is available via Amazon.com. I hope you enjoy, keep me posted! I need to explore more of your work too, the artwork is superb.
