I finished David Moody's "Hater". It is a very good novel and hooked pretty well. Also the scenario is so realistic that is quite scary to really think of it. And since the book is scheduled to be turned into a movie with Guillermo del Toro as pro...
This week my guest is a German artist with a great attraction for the fantasy theme, Bente Schlick. Her works are focused on the portraits, especially women portraits. One of her works is featured on this year cover of the artbook Expose.
This week guest is Nicole Cardiff. Nicole is an American artist, named by ImagineFX Magazine a Rising Star. She made many book cover and interior illustrations, especially for fantasy books, and concept works and promotional illustrations as well.
I finished Mark Charan Newton's "Nights of Villjamur". Quite a hype around this title, but I believe it is deserved. I had a few issues with the novel, but on the general I liked it a lot. And I think that Mark Newton has done a solid job in build...
The next guest of my fantasy art posts is the Dutch artist, Jesse van Dijk. He shows a lot of talent and imagination, especially with his personal project, "Project Indigo".
I posted the review of Sarah Prineas' "The Magic Thief". A children book that I enjoyed quite a lot and reminded me of my childhood years, full of dreams of adventures :)
I finished the debut collection of stories of R.B. Russell, "Putting the Pieces in Place". It is another collection in which the stories have a subtle and hinted horror, with some interesting accents on human nature and psychology. R.B. Russell is...
I am a passionate reader. I love Fantasy and Horror genres, but I'm not exclusivist, and I love to review the books I read. On my blog besides reviewing, I host interviews with some of the authors of these titles and a post about the other passion of mine, Fantasy Art.
Hope you are well and thanks for saying hello. Must admit I don't visit here as often as I should. Enjoyed your blog interview with Harry the other day! :-)
Aye, beer = good. And Tim and I go way back (I ran his website for many years before the torch was passed to the redoubtable Paul Raven) so when he mentioned an interest in real ale, I thought he'd be a great addition to the team :)
Ah, well - 'Swarmthief's Treason' is delayed by the fact I have parted company with my publishers (for reasons I can't really talk about)
However, the good news is, I AM planning to publish it myself and make it available for FREE download from my website early next year. I hope this will make it up to my faithful readers who keep asking when it's coming out - it's especially frustrating for readers because book 1 ended on a cliff-hanger... :-( As I say, I hope getting book 2 for free will take the sting out of things for the readers & fans... I feel pretty lousy about letting them down but, it was really outwith my control...
