Best Fantasy Novel Of The Year? Yes, I Think It Is.

It’s Thanksgiving in the US and the start of a retail frenzy that will continue right through the Yuletide season. It’s a brutal time for authors. More books are sold than at any other time of the year. The stakes are high, everyone’s competing for attention so their book doesn’t get lost [...]

The Sword Of Albion Cover

Here’s a first look at the cover to the UK edition of the first Swords of Albion book, out from Bantam in April:

The Silver Skull Review

The first reviews of The Silver Skull prior to its US publication are starting to trickle in. Here’s one from Geeks on Fire! – favourite book of the year so far. I’m happy with that. Also featured on: fantasyliterature.com. (Usual note: UK publication to follow with a UK-specific edit.)

Lord Of Silence Review

A nice Lord of Silence review from Robert William Berg.

I know! The detail was incredible... though he freaked me out with a storyline that had giant spiders in it. *shudders*

You know, every time I hear the 'name' Nemesis, it takes me back to my 2000AD-reading days.

I went to the opening day - they missed a major oportunity in showing it off. I think most the energy went in to the other things planned around it. It doesn't have much character, but hopefully that will develop in time. I hope it does well, Derby needs a centre of media and arts.

Of course - not a million miles away. Do you think you'll be at Alt.Fiction 09? I didn't see you at 08 - Alex Davies did another good job on that one. It will be at The Quad this time round I think.

Rich.
