Wonderlands

The prolific British fantasy author Louise Cooper has died at the tragically early age of 57, of an aneurysm. I did not know Louise's work but everyone who knew or worked with her in the fantasy community speaks very highly of her. She was a genuine professional who pursued her dreams as a writer and lived them to the full in her life and in her work (over 80 novels). She found her place as a writer and her ideal space in the world (the north Cornish coast) with her soul mate (the artist Cas Sandall) which is a rare feat in any life. Even in the midst of such an amazing output of adult, YA and children's fiction she frequently responded to fans posts on her website message board, too. She left a whole world as her legacy and few folk can claim that. When an author in the field passes away it is a very, very sad day and a loss to the entire community. Warm wishes and condolences to her husband, Cas Sandall.
