Hellooo from a newbie :)

Hello all,

Just signed up so thought I should say hi *waves*. I'm a lifelong fantasy fan, currently looking for like-minded book-a-holics to chat with :) My husband can't read (well, alright, he can..but he chooses not to!) and none of my friends are into fantasy, despite my best efforts at conversion.

I'm a software programmer by day, and a hermit book addict by night, obsessed with Siamese cats and currently expecting my first child. Me in a nutshell! My favourite fantasy authors are David Gemmell, David Eddings, Scott Lynch and Adrian Tchaikovsky. I also enjoy a little bit of Sci Fi, and a lot of horror. Something horrible is happening to me hormone-wise, as I've recently been spotted with 'chick-lit', but once the baby's born I'm assured this will stop :) I'm trying to set up a fantasy book blog, and would love to meet other bloggers around here, http://fantasyhabit.blogspot.com/

I am sure once the baby is here you might want more of a challenge again Fidelius, although I seem to recall it took me about a year before I could concentrate beyond a couple of pages - hormones can be a b****r that way! When is your baby due? So exciting!

Do come over to the David Gemmell Legend Award site (if you haven't already found us) We're just getting to the exciting time of year again when we ask the publishers to nominate... it certainly keeps Dros & I on our toes!

lol, I'm trying to re-habilitate myself, I'm back onto Pratchett now, with some good 'ol vampire fiction next in line :) Have to confess there's a smidgen of chick-lit in my hospital bag, but it's for emergencies only ;) Baby due in Feb, thanks!!

Oooohhhhh, Im scheduled to be an Uncle again in Feb (19th). So fingers crossed.
