I had a friend die of this so it struck a cord. Right up to the end she retained her sense of humor. I have always admired her for that.

Sara Douglass will beat it though, I have faith.

Seems she is doing better though she still has some chemo to go through. Amazing woman! She has not lost her sense of humor as evidenced by this post:

I can only hope that if I ever get cancer, I can handle it with the humor and grace that she has shown.

Yes, fantastic spirit she display and it really is a clarion call for any would-be writer to pick up their pen and get on with it. The time is now!
