Hi,
I'm Mihai Adascalitei, I'm a passionate reader and I run the blog Dark Wolf's Fantasy Reviews. I post reviews to my recent readings, interviews and some thoughts of mine.
I've finished Brian Ruckley's "Winterbirth" and posted my review on my blog. I liked the novel and the story made me curious about the outcome of this trilogy.
I finished "Corsair" by Tim Severin. A historical fiction set in the 17th century, an adventure on the Mediterranean Sea. I posted my review on my blog.
I finished Christopher Golden and Tim Lebbon's "Mind the Gap". It is an interesting thriller with bits of mystery, ghost stories and fantasy. I posted my review of the novel on my blog.
My last post before the vacation (the much expected one :)) is an interview with Dorothy Hearst, the author of "Promise of the Wolves" which I finished this month.
So until we see each other again I hope you'll have a great time :)
Well, the vacation is over and I have to go back to work :( But if I'm not working, no vacation :) Life works in a strange way ;)
Anyway, one of the books I finished on vacation was "School's Out" by Scott Andrews. It is a novel on "The Afterblight Chronicles" published by Abaddon Books and it is suited for lazy vacation days, because it is not a difficult read, it's simple and fun. I managed to write the review already and posted it on my blog.
I reviewed my second book I read on vacation, "Meat" by Joseph D'Lacey.
Unfortunately even though the author is a very nice guy and I know that he put a lot of work in his novel, "Meat" failed to meet any of my expectations.
I managed to write and post my review for the last read of vacation, "30 Days of Night" by Tim Lebbon.
It is a fun and entertaining read and considering that this is the author's novelization of the movie he did a pretty good job although he was restricted by the screenplay.
I finished "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss and I liked it. It is an interesting read, a little slow sometimes, but interesting none of the less. I wrote my review of the novel and I posted on my blog.
